Well, there has been a lot going on this last month of January. Mostly lots of rain in California which is a very unusual thing. We made trips to the stables as much as we could between the torrential downpours and hand walked horses around and around the barn and the puddles. Quincy likes to make ten turns up and down the road making clip clop sounds with his unshod hooves. Running deer just went ballistic and tried to walk but could not contain that joy of being out of his stall.
We walked Bonny the Corgi but each time she came home drenched and smelling more and more like wet dog. For being a welsh, Pembrokeshire Corgi she really is not true to her country of origin as far as weather goes. She dislikes the rain with a passion.
Now we have days between showers we are starting to have practise for Lion Dance performances for Chinese New Year. We have a few bookings so far and probably more to come. It is always hard work but in the end it is worth it.
Chinese New Year falls on Valentines day this year so it will be interesting. There is always red everywhere at Chinese New Year but now it will be more so.
